Protecting your personal data matters to me. This policy explains — in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG) and the Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG §165) — which data is processed when you visit this website.

No data protection officer has been appointed, as there is no legal obligation to do so.
2. Hosting & server log files
This website is hosted by World4You Internet Services GmbH (Hafenstraße 35, 4020 Linz, Austria). On each access, data your browser transmits is automatically stored in server log files:
- anonymised / shortened IP address
- date and time of access
- file / URL requested and amount of data transferred
- browser type, operating system and referrer URL
This data is technically required to deliver the website, ensure its stability and security and prevent misuse. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, error-free operation). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.
3. Content delivery network: Cloudflare
Cloudflare is used for secure, fast delivery and protection against attacks (Cloudflare, Inc., San Francisco, USA; EU representative: Cloudflare Germany GmbH, Munich). Your IP address is processed; Cloudflare sets technically necessary security cookies (e.g. __cf_bm, cf_clearance) for bot mitigation. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Transfers to the USA are based on Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR) and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Details: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
4. Fonts (Google Fonts)
This website embeds the „Space Mono“ and „Unbounded“ typefaces via Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Loading them establishes a connection to Google servers, transmitting your IP address. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (consistent, appealing presentation). A transfer to the USA cannot be excluded (Standard Contractual Clauses / EU-US DPF). Privacy: policies.google.com/privacy.
5. Embedded videos (YouTube)
On individual pages, videos are embedded via YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (domain youtube-nocookie.com; Google Ireland Limited). In this mode, data is transmitted to Google and cookies are set only once you actively start a video. Embedding occurs only after your consent via the cookie/consent banner. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), §165 TKG 2021. Privacy: policies.google.com/privacy.
6. Cookies, local storage & consent
Technically necessary cookies / storage access (e.g. Cloudflare security, storing your cookie choice in localStorage) are required for operation and exempt from consent under §165(3) TKG 2021. For all non-essential services – in particular embedded videos – your consent is obtained via the consent banner. You can withdraw or change your choice at any time via the link „Cookie settings“. No analytics, tracking or advertising cookies are used.
7. Contact
If you contact me by e-mail, your details are stored to process the enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual/contractual) or (f) (responding to the enquiry). The data is deleted once it is no longer required and no statutory retention obligations apply.
8. External links
This website links to external offerings (incl. YouTube, Flickr, Tumblr, Sketchfab, cooperation partners). Clicking them takes you off this website; I have no influence on the operators’ data processing. Their privacy policies apply.
9. Your rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data vis-à-vis the controller:
