01 / WHY EUTOPAI?
Eutopai is not a nostalgic motif but a method: city, body, media and future become readable as active, changeable spaces. Not the perfect utopia — an open, testable space of possibility.
What do places look like that do not yet exist, yet become real for a brief time through bodies, machines, images, sounds, data and collective imagination?

The title shifts the classical promise of utopia into a topographic practice: eutopai are places that are constructed, tested, inhabited, abandoned again and documented — settings, prototypes, scores, interfaces, stages, atmospheres.
Between dark stage intensity, lucid interface aesthetics, performative physicality, speculative cartography and urban media ritual. Not a technology trade fair — a radical, poetic lab for digital art.

Lucid Dreams Eutopai 2027 connects festival, exhibition, performance, XR, AI, sound, image, body and international teaching — a few strong spaces, clear situations, experimental interfaces.

Scalable experimental setups — presentable as a prototype in Warsaw, realisable as a condensed festival version in St. Pölten.
AI/XR-based cartographies of imaginary places — from St. Pölten, Warsaw, body data, movement traces, archive material and speculative texts.
Performative works in which bodies appear as sensor, projection surface, interface or disruptive factor of technological spaces.
Installations that treat data not as information but as material, rhythm, light, voice, fog, pattern or ritual.
AR or video interventions that make historical, political and imaginary layers of urban space visible.
Documentation and re-staging of EUTOPIA 2004: poster series, sound, video traces, text, image archives — translated into new media.
Utopia treated not affirmatively but ambivalently: fragile futures, ecological ruptures, techno-social longings, loss and repair.

⛶The installation in the government district of St. Pölten interlaced performance, installation, video, body, urban space and sound. Projection, body, architecture and movement produced a walk-in image zone.
The image archives from 2003/2004 become working material — traces, not decoration: projections, sketches, transparent body images, night space and display surfaces.

06–08 / INTERNATIONAL ARC
⛶PJATK as temporary lab
In April 2027 Eutopai becomes a collaborative production space at PJATK Warsaw. International teams each develop a Eutopai cell — installative, performative, audiovisual, interactive or XR-based.
A public showing of processes
At the end of the week a concentrated pre-festival — not a finished product but installations in raw state, performative tests, short artist talks, screening, sound/AV set, conversation.
A cultural bridge, not just a logo
The Austrian Cultural Forum Warsaw as a resonance space for Austrian-Polish art, science and education exchange: hosting, networking, co-promotion, discourse format.

09 / MAIN FESTIVAL ST. PÖLTEN
The festival dramaturgy condenses the works begun in Warsaw into six zones. Each zone translates an aspect of the original EUTOPIA matrix into a contemporary digital form.
Six zones
The audience experiences not only finished works but thinking and production processes: guided tours, open critique, documentary screens — plus a livestream as a bridge to Warsaw.
